Public Hearing will be held on June 23rd at 6pm in the High School auditorium. (Board member, Sharon Ballou requested the hearing be held at Dr. Knight but this request was denied.)

School Board meeting to vote on closure of Dr. Knight Elementary will be held on June 30th.

No meetings on June 9th or June 16th.

Part of our mission for the Save Dr. Knight Elementary campaign is to provide forward-thinking, viable and long-term district-wide solutions to our school board for consideration.

One suggestion we have provided for the board to explore is a “Centralized Campus Model” for our Little Falls School buildings. We anticipate this model could provide many, significant improvements to the school culture, educational dynamics and overall health of our district, just to name a few.

Along with our “Centralized Campus Model,” we also proposed this approach to the Little Falls School Board - Recruitment and Enrollment thru the implementation of an Upperclassmen 4-Day Week. We did our homework - and spoke with several districts of varying sizes throughout the state of MN that have implemented the 4-day week - and found incredibly favorable and positive feedback for this model. Our district would be the first in our area to implement this innovative educational design, and would assuredly be able to generate buzz and an increase in student enrollment.

As discussions for the possible closure Dr. Knight Elementary started coming to light, the members of "save Dr. knight Elementary" have been moved to action. We created a YouTube video to bring awareness to this "discussion" and began our extensive and thorough exploration into the ramifications of this decision.
